Hi there! I am Manar, a curious creative and human-centered designer based in the Chicagoland area. My passion for design and research drives my curiosity to learn more, and translate to a practice of contributing through learning from the people impacted by the project. 

Inherently curious about the way things work both functionally and visually, I was a kid who grew up exploring solutions to help make their situation and others better.

I embraced this intrinsic quality as it rendered critical thinking, optimism, creativity and empathy. My background in business, new media and design has placed me in various opportunities, often finding myself using a similar approach as I did as a kid.

Product design brings together my passion for visual design, ideas, stories, service and problem solving for humans. It is dynamic, multifaceted, empathic, thoughtful and a challenge that keeps me in a learning state—my kind of mindset. The process behind the visuals to me is a story and the ideas are inspired by the story, that’s motivating.

Aside from design, you can find me outdoors in the trails ruminating in nature, in the kitchen concocting my next awesome Paleo plate, or somewhere sketching fashion ideas.
